Sailing to anchoring. We are real sailors now.

Big sailing day
First remember all the sunscreen challenges and then I lost the last bottle. Well my nose now looks like a clown at a fun house. I bought new stuff yesterday so I hope that will help. Today I sailed at the helm most alllll day. Ben was practicing relaxing and navigating so when we take our night trip we can take turns well. So I'm beat. It was a long day tacking back and forth and I'm pooped! Ben is making supper. Today our big skill learned was.. It was our first time sailing to anchoring. I had the engine on but the motor was in neutral.  You know me. Safety first. We are parked outside a beach just at the mouth of the Atlantic. Oh my sister asked about fishing. Here is the secret. I am a lousy fisherman. I went many years and many time with my dad but he forgot to teach me how to fish. I did put the bait on and take off the fish by my self but as to think where when and how. Nope or maybe I didn't listen. That could happen. So I have been fishing when it is light breezes. I don't know ocean fishing and frankly I'm a bit nervous to catch something big. Many nights while in a small river bay I fish but then I think I have too big of a fish hook for river fish. So the secret is out. I can't fish yet but I will get more practice I'm sure.
Today while under way ben decided to put up the radar reflector since we have not yet done that. Silly us then again we have only sailed a bit at sundown. So he decided to use the extra halyard we have to hoist it up there. The only thing is... Im sure he will tell the story about how careful he was. I just looked up as it came flying out of his hand and just before I was thinking why does he need to do that now in12 knot winds? Why not tomorrow. And then poof, gone. Oh well. I guess I hoist him up the mast tomorrow.
Tonight he made supper for me! Have I told you that he is the beat cook I know. I'm not fabricating. I love all the food he makes: chilli, beef stock, oatmeal cookies, stew, BBQ anything, waldorf cake, and his secret ingrediant that is not so secret. Love, extra love in all his creations no matter who he is cooking for.
So tonights amazingness was tuna fish sandwiches with cucumber!! We just got fresh food. So we will eat good for a few more days.
Time for me to go to bed zzzzz
Pam
In all thing acknowledge Him!
