Ha ha that title sounds funny. A dingy is the small boat we use to shuttle ourselves to land. Since I am the designated captian for cricket as of now Ben is the designated dingy captian. We hopped in and away we went into the cute little town of oxford. Adorable. On our way we ran out of gas. Funny. So he started rowing. Against the wind. I said I could help paddle. He thought I meant row and if he can't get it to go how could I? After going ten feet. I said I can paddle on this side like a canoe And you paddle there. Ahhhh team work. Then when we got to the gas station. We put in .75cent worth of gas. What? We did not run out of gas the kill switch Key came out. We have a makeshift key with a lanyard that goes around your wrist so if you fall off the switch turns off the motor. So that was cute. I like paddleing so no harm done and it makes for a good captian Ben story.
The town is adorable complete with a man that makes homemade ice cream everyday. He is scotish with a thick accent. Today we met a very nice couple, Nancy and Daryl on Makarious. They met us in town and invited us to their boat. Our first invitation. They have been sailing for 35 years so a lot of sailing tips and stories. The best one was ... Daryl explained how to dock the boat and pull my stern in then move a bit forward!!! I can't wait to try it!!!! I am so blessed God just knew who to send to me! Thank you God.
Wherever we go people tell us bought a serious boat. A boat that will take care of us in rough seas. And she's a beauty.
Peace Pam over and out
