Today amazing!
First the neighbor lady had to one more time say " are you sure you want to leave today it will be 15-25 knot winds. I smiled and thought to myself today we shall learn how to reef. Last night before sundown Ben and I went through the how-to-reef drill. Set all the reef lines. I felt ready.
The weather looked good and believe it or not the barometer readings I took and applied to the book turned out more accurate than ole NOAA (national oceanianic and atmospheric admin. Or aka the weather God). How's that?? Fun!
The morning was breezy but not windy. I captained us out of the slip with a calm head and no incidents or fanfair. Ahhhhhh
We were two hours ahead low tide so I hurried the crew a bit. Even though it was fathers day. (Connie will like this. I wore my t-shirt that says, "I am the captian" given to me by my father.
We headed for wye river where we are anchored right now. Tummys full of chicken BBQ, peas and chocolate. The fathers are smoking a d I am blogging. Ben is also crabbing with the chicken bones. Hopefully he will explain.
Here is the question of the day. If you are in the ocean you can throw some foods over. If you are in superior nothing goes in the water cuz we drink that water. If you are in Chesapeake bay half half water salt can you throw stuff? Seems wrong but I don't know.
Thank the Lord for perfect weather!
Rest time.
