We are sitting still in the middle of the bay. The wind died. I'm below and ben is powering it right now. So let me take you back to the night zzzzz 3am our anchor watch went off. That means our anchor could be moving cuz our gps tells us that. We jumped out of bed flew up top to find a nice breeze. We stared at the shore. Nothing. Ben said it is like a firedrill at school we are all outside looking around. Last nIght we set our anchor watch and then tested it to see when it would go off. We thought the tolerance was too far so we tightened it up. A little too tight. The boat had made a complete 360 around the anchor so it sounds. Well we know we both wake up to that sound. Another drill under our caps of learning.
Today I talked on the radio. Another boat hailed us to see if we were really from MN. Ya sure you betcha! Seems not exciting but it was.
Owen had such a nice day you could just tell he gets it. Today he loved to sit in the companion way on the top step and be all contented.
We are back at herrington harbour. I thought we would be out for 5 days but dad needed to go back to the harbour cuz he needs his shower ha ha ha He needs his volka he was all out. So happily we sit in harbour. It's like camping in an RV. Don't get me wrong I can stay in a fansy hotel and use their hot tub swimming pool showers etc. Just like here but why? Plenty soon enough it will be just ben and I. Then we can gunkhole. Sail wherever the wind takes us.
Today was the most successful docking job I have done!!! It was perfect!! Oh yeah!!! Perfect. Of course it was an easy slip to get into. The weather was perfect but hey you still have to make your shots as they say in golf.
I am looking forward to sleeeeeep.
Hey Deanna I have been wearing sunscreen but the first one I used was old and I burnt. I bought an organic no chemical sunscreen ha ha. Well it smelled good and I was not allergic to it! But it did not work. I'm a little red not bad. I think I'll switch to a white shirt.
Miss you all!
Pam
